Wonderful new album World of Work came out on Warp today:
It’s an incredible mix of folk, classical and art-y rock that doesn’t sound like anything I’ve listened to before. The first half of the album was already out and I’ve been rinsing that for a few weeks, enough for that alone to make it my AOTY so far.
First got in to her after seeing her do a solo support set for Jenny Havl and finding it really beguiling. Her 2020 album The Voyager is also well worth checking out.
