Watched this recently and thought it was excellent

Got that on my hard drive, been meaning to watch it for a while. I had a vague aim of watching all the films covered by Fantomas on The Director’s Cut and that’s one of the few left to cross off the list.

Carry On Follow That Camel

Psycho

If.

It just had a showing in manchestee so may be at a cinema

That’s what I were gonna say.

MIND THE DOOOOOOORS!

Dirk Bogarde was pretty much on top of his game back then, Victim, The Servant, Death in Venice (think this might be 70s).

Bunny Lake is Missing

A Dandy in Aspic

Remember this as a kid. Very nasty.

If you like the Spy Who Came in from the Cold, I’d really recommend the Deadly Affair as it’s based on the book before it. Weirdly George Smiley is called Charles Dobbs as the studio did not have the rights to the name.

Our Man Flint

Surprised no one has mentioned this one yet (was made in 68 but Warner’s sat on it for two years because of the sex & violence)

going a bit off-piste here but while we’re on Le Carre, the 70s TV version of Tinker Tailor is pretty amazing. really gets that miserable british bureaucracy thing right that the recent film completely missed. this one actually makes sense as well.

Alec Guinness is incredible in that.

The follow-up with Patrick Stewart’s superb as well.
