Depends on the stain, if it is a varnish type then yes, if it is a paint - as in giving it a colour it should be fine. Corners are fine, just smoosh your brush into them

Ours is in 2 parts, top part fenced off so our cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia can not stray into danger, then after shrubs a further section which backs onto local park, we are lucky in ways

English gardens are much nicer than American ones.

Traditionally if you’ve got the nice side of the fence it belongs to your neighbour, if you’ve got the rough/back side, it belongs to you.

Other than that it may be marked on the ground plan with the land registry (you’ll have had a copy from your solicitor with the pack of searches)

thanks, I need to locate all my solicitor documents. this is a fence that backs onto an alleyway, so I guess there is a chance it could be a public fence maybe. I want to put a gate in it so I don’t have to walk through my downstairs neighbours territory to get to my garden

If I were a betting man, i’d say it’s probably your fence.

We can’t dig up the lawn (the soil is toxic anyway) but we are allowed to have pots/tubs round the edge and on the porch steps. Got peppers, cherry toms, blueberries, broccoli, kale, raspberries, strawberries and mini melons. Also got all the herbs and sunflowers. The weather here is great for growing tomatoes. It’s super hot in the day and then a thunderstorm with a whole load of water every week.
