Using a washing up bowl, tbh

All I’m saying is that since I started painstakingly washing every item individually, my glassware and crockery is cleaner than any of my friends’ (without dishwashers, anyway) and they all use washing up bowls

I think back to uni and how sticky everything felt all the time and… yeah, no, keep your bowls

Are you using a running tap or filling up the sink?

Poll is very much on my side

Glasses go in first hence they are fine with the clean fresh water in the bowl.

Yeah I’ve never understood the point of them. You have a sink with a plug that is already designed for holding water, simply lift plug to drain. Washing up bowls seem to make it all more awkward.

And when people have them sitting in the sink full of water and used plates etc all day so food gunk is floating in it, them you have to empty it all out before you can even start washing up! Madness.

Rinse into the sink, keep the water in the washing up bowl cleaner for longer

But the ones I’ve seen basically take up the whole sink, maybe if you have one of those second rinsing sinks it would work.

that’s a massive sink

Saves water

Gives you the ability to empty out bits of tea etc

Less likely to smash things

but how does your tap work, is it off on the left, cold in the middle, hot on the right?

How strange!

Let that sink in

I can’t, it’s too big!
