Commuter Scooter

I want to buy a scooter for commuting. Tell me if this is a great idea or a terrible idea (notes - my commute is not very long, and we have a good bike hire system so if I need a bike I can get one from that). Does anyone have a commuter scooter? Shoot!

  • Get a scooter, you’re super-cool!
  • Don’t get a scooter you plum, are you five?

Really hope those electric scooters don’t take off over here. Spent most of my holiday in Austin last year diving out of the way of them

Looks like I’ll probably just get a bike then

OK I’ll be the one to point out that the electric ones are actually illegal to use on roads or pavements then.

I thought we all knew that anyway - I’d never go that route in any case, there’s a couple of people around here who have them (for now, until they invariably get arrested or crash) and they look terrifying. There was one guy riding one down a main road without a helmet the other day, fucking ridiculous

I have been actively trying to avoid hating on these people. It’s tough
