Here’s me

Vegans will absolutely love the Deliciously Ella one - crazy good. The roasting tin books are obv the shit for fast food prep, and Ottolenghi keeps on giving too!

Somewhat less pleasing collection:

The roasting tin one is good for veggie stuff I’ve found but I’ve made a few things with chicken in it that didn’t quite turn out right - thoughthat is probably user error lol

Poppy Cooks is based off some tiktoker, but it is nice for properly indulgent/ rich foods to impress with haha

Others don’t get used much because I’m cooking for just two. Though the British cookbook has some great recipes in it

Jamie Olive Oil book is utter shit :smiling_face_with_tear: , Ramsay is also rubbish.

Hairy bikers and Marcus are really good

Absolutely love them, sometimes as an actual recipe book but often just because I love the design work in them.

I mostly dip into the Chinese ones to recreate the food I can’t get out here. I’ve also got a load more back in the UK (probably another 2x this lot).

This is my go-to for Chinese food. So bloody good.

This is the only one I would consider buying and it would be entirely for the front cover

I really liked his series where he travelled around Italy sampling dishes from all the different regions. You could tell he was loving every minute of it.

Should really be called the Tucci Cookie Boo (k)

This is not the best cookery book I own, but perhaps the most useful over the years. My mum bought it when she was learning to cook herself and gave it to me when I left home. It goes from really basic stuff, like how to make toast or brew coffee, to more complex recipes. I still sometimes consult it if I’m not sure how long to cook something for. It is very 70s, though, as you can see from the cover

Hard disagree. Was given one of her books and it was full of wellness feelgood flaxseed bullshit. Nae for me pal.

Here are my cookbook shelves…

Obligatory copy of the Green Roasting Tin.

Hard recommend for Isa Does It. Probably my favourite cookbook ever, great mix of every day relatively easy quick dinners and more impressive / interesting big plates. The follow up The Superfun Goodtimes Vegan Holiday Cookbook is also good but annoying laid out by holiday rather than like, starters mains etc. still has the best seitan recipe I’ve ever made though.

The Thug Kitchen ones are…problematic BUT have some decent recipes.
