Mate, all of you did when saying that kettles would actually be hotter, started talking about urns (lol) and saying it wouldn’t be that hot in the coffee shop - I’m pointing out that it is. And yes, if you put a thermometer under the outlet for the hot water at point of pouring, it will register over 100.

(obviously a fair amount is also steam as it comes out. Kind of like with a kettle…)

also near impossible to stop looking at him

Maybe start chucking a few fivers

Only way Meowington could have done better in this thread is if she’d started trolling on purpose half way through

No idea why people got so annoyed about someone’s opinion on boiling water

this thread

haven’t started reading yet but this thread has over three hundred replied and less than three hundred views

which is a bit weird really

yeah you absolutely do know why.

It’s fun to get annoyed at people!

For the record you boil water for tea and you don’t for coffee

FFS

Pffft I boil it for everything

Yes, everything, even just a glass of water

Remember reading an article/doc about that old lady from america that sued McDonalds for their coffee burning her and thinking before reading I would never agree with the verdict, but I did. You shouldn’t be serving water based drinks at their boiling point, it is insane. The difference in damage and burns it causes from just slight temp increases, allowing for the risk to different groups of people you will be serving your drinks to etc. all factor in.

What a sorry thread this really is

Hotter than 60c? FUCK OFF IS IT, stop trying to impress DiSers by pretending you have armor plating for skin.

Not read the thread. Looks horrific. Struggling a bit with the logistics of that photo, though. How? Why?
