Dylan’s songwriting is often 10/10 but a lot of The Byrds’ covers are better than his originals for me.

Sublime’s cover of Bad Religion’s We’re Only Gonna Die. Love how it sets the song up and gets progressively faster and more intense and explosive. Incredible cover and pretty much the embodiment of why I love them so much.

Both versions are far superior to the original

Kind of. Carole King wrote it, then The Shirelles recorded it but then CK’s version is on Tapestry but that was 10 years later, but she did write it so in summary: :man_shrugging:
