fair, just had a look and the fastest chase of 350+ ever is 44.0 overs. That’ll probably go barring a collapse

Edit - maybe not, need Jos in to hurry things up

Edit 2 - Jos isn’t playing, we’re doomed

Also looking through those records, that South Africa - Australia game is still absolutely miles ahead of everything else, and it’s 13 years old now. Absolutely insane that with all the development in one day cricket since 2006 nobody has caught up to that match’s level. Proper weird anomaly

I remember going to the Walkabout in Watford to watch something else but ended up transfixed on that SA v Aus game. It was insane, even by today’s standards.

Highest aggregate score of any ODI still, and 47 clear of 2nd place. Only 2 other matches ever are within 100 runs of it.

Aye, but that’s what ā€˜should’ happen when a team puts up a mammoth score, people have to start swinging before they get themselves in and wickets start dropping

We had a bit of a break for the 50 over stuff, but which potentially Ashes winning batsman has scored a century for the third county championship game in a row? Can only be one man

Which county championship batsman has scored a first class century in 6 matches in a row? You know it

I always think that’s Robert Key.

That’s Sibley I take it. How many of those centuries were in Div 2 or against a University side?

IRRC, he’s got 2 this year in the first division, 1 for the MCC XI vs Surrey (county champs), 3 last year - but then one of those was against Kent, who are now first division.

So I’m saying 4.

(the rest of the team has been terrible as well - despite opening, when he’s got his two Warks centuries this season, he’s been 8th man out and held his bat)

Obviously, he was out for 3 in the 2nd inning today.

I’m off to Trent Bridge tomorrow to watch cricket for the first time in my life. I expect the decision of whether I ever go and watch it again will depend 100% on what the weather’s like.

Why is Michael Vaughan…

Can’t stand listening to this bloke. He’s just named Jofra Archer as twelfth man in his best England ODI side… EVER

I thought for one horrible moment he was going to nominate himself as number 3

Mad that Pakistan are looking at putting up 340ish and it doesn’t look anywhere near enough

Pakistan are the first team ever to put up 340 in 3 consecutive ODIs. They may well lose all 3.
