I was there today and it just never felt like we had a chance. Even in the warm up, Australia just looked leagues apart.

A poor powerplay. Every time our batters hit a ball it found the one fielder. Some tight Aussie bowling and then too little too late.

After 3 overs you knew Australia had done enough to win and they were toying with us for the final 10 overs.

They are a great team and we’ve improved, but are still miles off their ability. My temperament wasn’t helped by being surrounded by Aussies who were cocksure they were winning before the game started and Rita Ora performing ‘the hits’.
