Probably wouldn’t let someone who has jam on crumpets in my house really.

How do we feel about these?

And don’t one brand do an extra big crumpet? I haven’t tried them.

Nah, it was badly phrased on my part, tbf.

Butter and marmite for me. Sometimes butter and jam. I like them well toasted but not burnt. Always have two.

Sometimes have melted cheese on crumpets as supper. Used to have it at ol’ granny Bugduv’s as a we’en.

Just bung the crumpets in the toaster and microwave the cheese (Cheshire ideally) in a bowl with a splash of milk, a little bit of butter and some ground pepper, and slap it on. Would be better done under the grill but…

  • Warburton’s or M&S crumpets toasted on the highest toaster setting/under the grill until crispy
  • Normally just butter, but occasionally peanut butter

mmmm delicious claggy peany-b

I like my crumpets with a big wodge of butter and a generous slathering of high quality strawberry jam.

Had creamy scrambled eggs on a crumpet the other day. It was fine.

What sort of peanut butter are we talking? Not sure how I feel about this

Butter and marmite slathered on an almost immolated crumpet for me please

Crumpet > bagel > toast >>>>>>>>>> muffins

(Toast is a hard one to rank. There are just so many variables)

Well, blow me. Just asked my friend (as she’s quite the crumpet connoisseur) and she said she has peanut butter (crunchy) too! It’s never even occurred to me to but peany-b on a crump!
You think you know someone.

She also normally has the giant ones. We once had quite the heated debate because I was adamant that giant ones wouldn’t get evenly toasted and tbh I’m still not convinced.

I’ve done this, but with 2 crumpets and the addition of scrambled egg.

come at me, fuckers

I kind of think they’re not very good. Nice to have from time to time, but toast works better as a base for toppings, while potato scones work better as a little treat to go with unhealthy stuff
