Speaking of the contestants: oh dear. They fall into four categories: elderlies (“lovable” pensioners wheeled on just so the panel can coo over them like they’re four years old), do-gooders (people who need money for community centres and the like)…
Basically, it’s an hour of people desperately pleading for cash, with a cheering audience lobbed in for good measure…
I don’t want to live in this country anymore.
