that’s the spirit!

Me too! Got a camping trip in the Lakes next week which has really crept up and I feel physically quite unprepared for.

Aye, why not eh?

Did a bike ride after work today! Mostly on road but with a couple of miles of very nice gravel in the middle. Legs are in a state but that’s more the stinging nettles than the hills.

Put new bar tape on yesterday and it’s probably the best looking job I’ve ever done

However there’s one knobbly bit on the drops and a slight imperfection on the other side

Really can’t decide whether to redo it or not

I’m afraid you have to

Thing is neither but is even really visible, only notice it when riding, and how often am I in the drops?

(I’ll do it tonight :weary:)

Not even on bar tape book with my clunky old hybrid obvs, but one unwelcome thing I noticed the other day was that the rubber grips on my handlebars seem to have reached that weird stage with rubber where they start to degrade and become sticky. So looks like I might have to replace them, which I really don’t want to be arsed with. Alternatively a summer of sticky hands awaits.

It’s quite a simple job for either diy or a shop

Reckon you’ll be glad when it’s done

chucking my “good” bike into my LBS for a full service later. there are a couple of rounded bolts stuck in the frame - it’s fine if I ask them to remove these for me right?

Sure

Got to buy the replacements though haven’t I. Why is life so difficult and unfair. Wah!

Should point out I have now watched a five minute video about grip shifts. What am I doing with my life?
