A lot of it is down to who’s using the roads - majorca roads = all great because they want to attract the pros for training and the tourists. Alpine roads round me = either immaculate becuase the tour has either passed in recent years or is coming soon… OR complete shit because not on a road the Tour or Dauphine is gonna use, and is not a thoroughfare.

this is also where the uk struggles. Who’s gonna stump up for it, ain’t noone doing a winter training camp in skegness ffs.

bloody capitalism.

did you get attacked by goats near there? i did.

Atop the Col d’Aubisque

Possibly my coldest day on a bike ever. At the start of an out and back over the Col du Solour to the Aubisque and back

had a few beers.

sorry, didn’t realise. thought it was a spandexed leg.

Honestly, it’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. He can’t straighten it at all. It’s totally covered in arthritis. He has a special position for his hand on the handlebars and can’t operate STI shifters properly. Hero

how bad is this? :hushed: noticed it on my front wheel this morning.

could’ve been there for ages for all i know… it looks almost more like a scratch than a crack, but i don’t want my front wheel to explode at 50km/h…

EXTREME CLOSE UP!!!

Looks like a scratch on the brake track, but definitely worth taking into your LBS

Looks to be a good weekend, bike dorks.

I’m gonna have a track session at Herne Hill on Sunday. My parents are up visiting so a proper ride is out of the question :frowning: (I have mega Easter plans though I think)

Oooh talking Easter, does anyone know any good rides in and around north east Essex?

A pal on Strava often rides around Essex but not sure which bit: [linky]

(you might have to go a bit far back to have a look – he did the Festive 500 so check around Xmas / NYE)
