Tesco Metro I’d say.

#5345

Amazon. I got the last one, soz.

#5346

prob for the best - I don’t need one, I just want one

#5347

Day 3 - 67 miles.
Weather cloudy, but it rained all last night and this made the gravel sections of the canal towpath really sludgey. Bike was a mess when I finished. Also got a rear puncture. Fixing it was still better than sitting in an office doing a job I’m shit at.

#5348

Just installing Road Grand Tours - looks like a Zwift with more actual places, Ventoux, Stelvio Pass, Formentor, etc.

Will report back, fuck off am I going out in the weather on the road today. #softlad

#5349

Really, really enjoying these updates casbay. Incredibly jelly also.

#5350

#5351

Hoping you can start at the top

#5352

Same.

Keep it up @casinobay !

#5353

It’s not very bad at all, it’s just lovely.

#5354

I shall try there first and report back EXCLUSIVELY on DiS Cycling Thread 2.0!

http://www.5ferrychallenge.com/the-challenge.html

Back to Glasgow for quarter to ten :interrobang:️ Hadn’t clocked that it’d be that much of an expedition.

That might be me back out of the game, bearing in mind the combination of moving house the day before and MiniWza.

Any scope for bailing out at some point along the way to made it home for earlier o’clock?

(Also, isn’t that eating into valuable drinking time?)

#5356

Is that the same route?

@japes has mapped out this one:

I don’t think we’ll be getting back as late as 9.45pm!

The final run back into Glasgow is alongside the railway line, so you can bail and hop on a train at a station if you want.

#5357

i reckon we’d be at wemyss bay for half 7, back in glasgow for half 8.

it is quite a long day though.

that is a slight concern but reckon we’ll be alright. non bw can get started without us.

#5358

that’s a rad route btw @japes

#5359

it’s not a proper day out on the bike if you’re not… literally out all day on the bike, is it

#5360

can’t believe you’ve made me do this but here

GLA - ARDROSSAN: 8:30 - 9:30 :steam_locomotive:
ARD - BRODICK: 9:45 - 10:40 :ferry:
BRO - LOCHRANZA: 10:40 - 12:00 :bike:
LOCH - CLONAIG: 12:00 - 12:30 :ferry:
CLON - TARBET: 12:30 - 13:30 :bike:
LUNCH: 13:30 - 14:15 :yum:
TAR - PORTAVADIE: 14:15 - 14:40 :ferry:
PA - COLINTRAIVE: 14:40 - 16:10 :bike:
COL - RHUBODDACH: 16:15 - 16:20 :ferry:
RHU - ROTHESAY: 16:20 - 17:00 :bike:
ROTH - WEMYSS: 17:30 - 18:05 :ferry:
WEM - GLA: 18:24 - 19:17 :steam_locomotive:

so if it all goes to plan (it won’t) back in glasgow for half 7. easy.

#5361

yeah that other timing thing had THREE HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES to go nineteen miles, jfc.

(how long would it take to cycle back to Glasgow from the ferry?)

#5362

looks more like a ferry ride than a bike ride

yes I am jealous

#5363

I think that’s just because of ferry timings (eg you have 3h20 to get to this point, because we don’t think you can make the earlier ferry). @japes has banked on us making the earlier ferry.
