I didn’t know 1x was a thing on road bikes.

I do fancy rather that!

1x is the new fixed

@zxcvbnm

also worth a look if you can wait might be the new Adept from Decathlon

According to this: http://road.cc/content/tech-news/237871-sneak-peek-decathlons-2019-disc-braked-triban-bikes-plus-2018-performance

The “Adept plus” will have 105 hydraulic discs, plus mudgaurd / rack mounts for £800???

I want one.

Thanks for the input, y’all. A trailer is definitely a flexible and generally more affordable option compared to a specialist bike. Seems like a popular one, too, cos there’s plenty of variants. Don’t think my council has cargo-ey stuff for hire, but there are a few local bike groups/charities that might, so I’ll be looking into that.

looks stealth as fuck as well

oooooft they are gonna be flying off the shop floor

£749 according to Bike Radar. ILY Decathers.

I was going to suggest a Triban 520, and selling the Sora to get a 105 hydraulic groupset, and now it looks like Decathlon are doing that anyway…

520 isn’t a disc-oriented frame though

I’m getting confused with the Ultra 520, aren’t I?

Oooh I forgot about that one. That’s a bit ££ as well isn’t it. I wonder why they are going to sell the Adept for cheap?

Because they love us so much.

Dead nice, that.

by the time it comes out I’ll be able to get another bike loan through work

Never riding my bike again guys.

Ooh that is nice, aside from the stupid saddle.

Did you read this article from the other day?

Yeah, I’ll be fucking that off straight away.

Turns out the guy has swapped out the cockpit for flat bars and shifters too, annoyingly. Still seems worth it for the price though.

those saddles are quite ££ to buy so if it does come with it you’ll get a nice bit of cash if you sell it

No.

It’s a good skim through the buggy market - worth reading, imho.

Till they’re old enough for a bike seat. I got one of these when Jimbo reached six months:
