I’m running tubeless 30s on my Stooshie - big tyres forever

down side is I now find my carbon road bike impossibly uincomfortable to ride for any distance - I’m not sure I could even get 25s in on that. Hoping to upgrade to a Kinesis Aithein EVO frameset soon so I can have 30s on both bikes

Christ, I remember riding a bike with 19mm tyres soon after I started bike wankering. The move to 23mm was night a day noticeable. As was the move to 25mm. Probably won’t go to 28mm atm as I’m (was I suppose) happy with 25mm and don’t really believe that 28s will offer that much more.

@Jeremys_Iron fwiw, I’ve ridden a few tyres over the years and I honestly can’t see past the conti GP4000sii. Love my Vittoria tyres on the Lynskey, but those contis were brilliant. Had 2 punctures in their life span and were free speed effectively

Will check them out my man :+1:

They’re so fucking expensive though.

LIFELINE 4 LIFE

Can normally get them on sportpursuit for cheap

I’m running 28s on my cube at the minute. the front one rubs on the top of the fork so I lower the wheel very slightly in the drop outs before tightening the skewer. This is probably really really dodgy but it seems to be working.

EDIT : the drop outs. the bit the wheel goes into. you knew what I meant.

Having a LOT of success with these. Thanks for the non-terrible cyclist advice.

I should be on some sort of commission from Wiggle for advising people to get these.

Duly noted.

I wish. Barely get any Haribo any more :frowning:

And that’s why I tell people to buy Vittoria tyres at £40 a pop!

Just thank your lucky stars you’ve not got tubs (£80 a tyre, that you have to sew to repair)

Oof. Yeah sounds fine if you know what you’re doing. It brings back bad memories of having cheap mountain bikes as a kid and trying to stop the brakes from rubbing.

I would spend more if it would give me some kind of noticeable gain/improvement, but I’ve found my One Tru Luv with those Lifelines. The right amount of puncture protection + nice and fast. Great in the wet, too.

Would abs LOVE a pair of Spesh turbo cottons if I had the right bike though. Beauty.

I’m a bit superstitious when it comes to p*****s but I have had these on all winter and I can’t actually remember getting a you-know-what. I think they’ve been slightly better than gatorskins and a lot better than the Schwalbe equivalent.

touches loads of wood

too late

Kinda reaching for an excuse to buy some gum wall Vittoria tyres tbh

Nothing wrong with my current ones but :man_shrugging:t2:

Just do it
