Bkool won’t release the Bluetooth protocols so other apps can connect to their turbos. I’ve tried swapping the turbo over to ant+ fe-c or whatever but it’s never worked or my laptop isn’t good enough.

this is terrible

I’ve registered for a virtual Haute Route event on Zwift, which involves 3 consecutive days of hard mountain stages. There are currently 7,600 people signed up for this afternoon’s 5pm start :open_mouth:

Well that’s my big cycling crash cherry popped :see_no_evil: Binned it badly coming down a gravel track this afternoon. I wasn’t going too quickly (I’m quite cowardly on descents, TBH, and also very conscious about not overburdening the NHS at this time) but I came round a corner that’s become nothing but giant potholes across its entire width since last autumn. Tried to negotiate them, the front wheel jerked sideways, game over. Nothing broken, but I’ve got bad gravel rash up most of my left hand side and nasty bruises everywhere. Smashed my phone to bits and trashed a brand-new set of bibs, but I’m still counting myself very lucky right now. The bike seems fine, of course…

If it’s any comfort, once you’ve had the first big one, the next doesn’t seem so bad

I’ve only had 2 really bad ones…the first on a long descent, messed up the corner on a hairpin at ~30km/h, pedal struck the ground and that was that. Somehow nothing broken but badly bruised, and my sunglasses came flying off, never to be seen again!

the 2nd one happened when i was literally stationary and managed to fall off a cliff while mountain biking

Yikes. Glad to hear you’re ok :+1: Should take it more leisurely, like me today - 10 miles in 80 minutes :rofl:🤷

that’s the main thing

why do crashes never happen in old bibs?

Of course, my first thought on seeing my knackered phone was I hope Strava’s still running, I reckon I got some KOMs earlier :see_no_evil: #bikewanker

(It was, and I got the KOMs)

My gravel bike. Strava reckons I was going about 20mph when it happened, so things could’ve been much worse. I’ve been considering swapping the 700c wheels for some 650b’s for a while now, so I can get some fatter, grippier tyres. This might have swung it

Christ, the pain’s really starting to kick in now. I won’t be getting much sleep tonight :see_no_evil:
