Finally appeared on the Italian Decathers website. Want.

New 105 front and rear derailleurs, shifters (the important bits). TRP HY/RD brakes, so not fully hydraulic, but pretty decent from what I’ve read. Nice netrual colours, mounts for guards, tubeless ready wheels, clearance for fatter tyres. Any reason why I wouldn’t get this for a winter bike? Apart from the fact it’s Decathlon (which isn’t a reason)?

urgh, trecked to Evans yesterday to check a bike out and they didn’t have it in. My fault for not checking via phone. It’s a 2019 edition… are they starting to come into shops now?

Should be. And yeah, give them a call before making the trip. I find most people who work in Evans pretty helpful actually. You should also be able to take it on a little pootle outside.

misc. cycling bits and bobs:

  • there’s a fucking hole in the pad of my rapha bib shorts. like, the chamois has gone all lumpy and developed a massive gap. not fucking impressed. in fact i am incredibly disappointed (yes i have complained to rapha) and it caused me a bit of discomfort on the weekend

  • i have constant pins and needles in my left hand :expressionless:

  • might buy a turbo when i get paid

they’re those cable actuated hydraulic ones, right? they’re meant to be pretty good. they’re self adjusting like normal hydo ones (i’m pretty sure) which imo is the main ballache with cable actuated discs
