I used the word ‘daft’ - perhaps I should have said ‘things that have blind-sided you’

Ah no that’s not what I meant! I meant they were beautiful and tragic things which would move me too

This was the most blindsided I’ve been in recent years, I was an absolute emotional mess:

It’s mockery to the point where I’ve had to go to extreme measures to hide it. I’ve decided next time I’m gonna tell her off though. IT’S 2018 GOD DAMN IT, IT’S OK FOR A GROWN MAN TO CRY WHENEVER A DOG DOES ANYTHING HEROIC/EXTREMELY LOYAL ON TV!

Oh man me too, I’ll have my head turned slightly sideways and put my arms sort of resting on my head so she can’t see my eyes and try to discreetly cuff away the shame of having just cried at something an animated animal has just said

Anyone who doesn’t weep tears of pure hot joy at the sight of a dog playing snooker is dead inside. DEAD.

I feel your pain. I’ve missed chunks of endings because I’ve had to pop to the toilet to dry my stupid eyes. She can sense it otherwise and starts grinning at me like some kind of terrible shark woman.

Whom I love dearly, obvs.

I deleted my Twitter account a couple of weeks ago. I was weighing up the pros and cons of retaining it and realised the only pro was ‘videos of dogs being reunited with their owners’. A tear in the eye every time.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a video on Twitter. And I probably shouldn’t - if I start following a Twitter account that just posting heartwarming dog videos I’ll just start weeping into my phone until someone puts a blanket over me and leads me away to some place safe.

I watched the wheelchair pig one at work when it first came out and everyone laughed at me but now, even though I don’t even work there anymore, they all still send me videos / pictures of pigs being ace so it was worth it

Once when I was very hungover I watched an episode of the Simpsons where Homer is grabbing onto Marge’s arm and she says in a very pained voice “Homer, you’re hurting me” and I burst into tears for about 5 mins. Definitely realised I needed more sleep at that point.
