Have you heard much from Milo Yiannopoulis recently? Have you wondered why not?

Did you see that he tried to sell his throne on eBay but nobody bidded.

Is it because he is a grubby racist, bit of a peado, nobody?

So, not the story.

I saw a good (bad) vid earlier of a pal of Alex Jones who got kicked off Facebook so she goes to Facebook HQ to complain and it’s really pathetic. All filmed on broadcast quality equipment with a camera crew. which I guess she’ll not be able to afford now her internet money’s gonna start running out.

It’s because he’s been effectively deplatformed after trolling a wee bit too hard. You don’t get rid of these shit stains by defeating them in some marketplace of ideas, because doing so gives them the legitimacy they so desperately crave.

Same deal with racists. You’re not going to defeat them with reason because they don’t care about being reasonable. You get rid of them by not airing their views.

So in conclusion, no, nobody can tell me where the line is.

We can probably start from “advocating for the establishment of white ethnostates” and iterate from there.

Probably around the stage you pose for a photo like this.

Honestly, I get it, and I am on your side, but that cunt is at the front of all our problems, and our fellow countrymen love him. I’d never watch QT anyway as is a car crash, but on the news I don’t mind him getting coverage to try and help understand why people are into him, and to try and get to the bottom of why we are all so completely fucked.

(that’s written really badly, and I will leave now, as these discussions wind me up, but like everything in life, it isn’t as simple as BAD MAN SAY BAD THING BAD MAN MUST GO, like us guffy wafty indie bells think)

Not heard that in a while

I think Timothy has a point

the thing is people are saying that Baker is intelligent enough to know how the tweet would be read/construed, yet at the same time stupid enough to tweet something he knew would be a career-ender.
FWIW I try to block out everything to do with the royal family; and the fact the baby is mixed-race, or even that Meghan is mixed-race (and I am aware of her) is news to me of today.
So…it’s a long shot but possible that it was a dumb mistake.

They hate Danny Baker and love the royal family, the audacity of the cunts to pretend they care about racism

Why are you assuming he knew it would end his career? Other people get away with this kind of stuff all the time. Alan Sugar has already been mentioned here (and I notice from googling that some media outlets are covering that inconsistency too), I’m sure there are others.

If Danny Baker can take one one crumb of comfort from this whole unpleasant ordeal it is the ironic twist that this should fill up two and half minutes on the next instalment of Own Goals and Gaffs

fair point.

think it warranted being fired, could have been an innocent mistake, but its better to give the benefit of the doubt to people affected by stuff like this rather than give the perpetrators a plausible denial get out clause. very skeptical the BBC would have done the same if it wasn’t aimed at a royal though

In any other situation where a person has done something reprehensible and harmful, we wouldn’t be quibbling over whether or not they meant it, they’d be expected to face the consequences regardless. It’s quite ridiculous that there’s even a conversation over whether he intended to cause harm, the fact is that he did, and it’s nobody’s fault but his own. Whether or not he knew what he was doing is beside the point, he fucking should’ve known.

A million percent this.

I guess a broadcaster, whether they’re tweeting, or otherwise should think a bit more carefully about airing their unfunny shit (as someone mentioned upthread maybe consider the possible racist implications of what you’re about to spout).

As always though, the aftermath and follow up ‘apology’ always speaks volumes.
