Bumped it so the discovery was more and seemed logical as I was farming to Level. Got weirdly addicted to rinsing them rats and then started on the blobs aswell. Good session, no progress really but took my mind off the toothache. I waver and Bloodborne is incredible but this game is so damn deep. Jurys out, Sekiro is so lively and thrilling but Dark Souls Remastered offers so much and, it’s dumb to type this, but there’s a point where your character kind of feels alive, which is ironic given they die so much.

Tell them that at the hospital and you’ll be all good.

Blightown, toothache and COVID wards, all grim beyond belief and some worse than others.

At least work and DS are rewarding. Toothache should be sorted tomorrow so on the up and the game is a very welcome distraction.

it’s a good place to farm but if you’re going to consume them before Blighttown you’re probably wasting your time as you’ll lose them on death

wait unless you’re farming them for souls

It seemed to work, got some good Humanity drops, sometimes nothing but raising the live Humanity Level to 5 seemed to make more appear so a fair trade off. Didn’t mind losing them 5 as I knew I’d die in Blighty. Which I did. Can’t get the first bonfire there yet… but I will.

they drop less than 100 souls, you’d get better gains absolutely anywhere else. The drake bridge method nets 555 and takes about 15 seconds

I was farming more to stock up Humanity and was using levelling as a mark when to stop. Level twice, just in the Depths, just with that rat pack(s) and 20 was a good mark with 2 Levels so quite happy and didn’t mind the coming death in BT.

was gonna say, I know you’re a masochist but that would be too far, I think I’d prefer the toothache

Didn’t die once to the rats as they are feeble opposition and I can run back to the bonfire whilst poisoned so didn’t need to use any purple stuff.

Did do a terrible die to the regulars in the Depths when I got stuck between tables. Whoever designed that room is ill in the head.

Bit more progress last night. Found my way up to a big church, found some secret stairs and an NPC talking about good vs bad blood, lit a few lanterns, burned a few werewolves and met a machinegun.

So far, think this is beating Dark Souls for me.

The machine gun bit is so damn good. Love that area so much. Have you played this before? Also do you have the DLC?

Blighttown before a trip to the dentist. A match made in Heaven (Hell).

Stream on…

Nope, this is all new to me and I’ve also avoided videos, articles and footage of it for years knowing I would one day play it.

Have bought the DLC too, yeah. Not sure how you activate it yet, but presume thats for far later on…

if you’re trying to get the backstabs in you need to be positioned at about 6:30 on a clock. That will yeet the barbarians off the bridge and make your life easier

Ah, enjoy, it only gets better, DLC is a fair way off yet but is incredible.

The only thing I am struggling with a bit compared to DS is navigating my way around. I mean, it wasn’t easy in DS either but there are times where I know I need to do something (like tell that woman behind the door I found a ‘safe place’ (which, btw, I’m PRETTY sure isn’t THAT safe)) and recall what the area looks like, but have NO idea how to get back there. Found it by accident last night, but have really struggled to orientate myself and spot landmarks to follow.

Maybe thats deliberate. But I kinda wish there were a few more visual clues to help you know where to go.

I don’t think there’s a bonfire in the game that offers more relief than this one. Phew.

Yes I agree. I began to just purely know the areas mostly due to over exposure to them and being on them so long. The area with the machine gunner is confusing but the end of that level is fantastic.

The DLC is for closer to the end game for now, we can give you pointers on how to activate it nearer the time as with all From games accessing the DLC is not exactly obvious.
