Think I’m going to bow out of Bloodborne. It’s just too easy. No point.

…kidding! (sort of) The PS Now streaming service is a bit shit and this is obviously not doing the game justice. It’s very compressed, even with 500 Mbps download speeds, which I get is to minimise input lag and that’s way more important than pretties, but it’s kind of distractingly bad.

Hopefully it gets a PC release/remaster at some point and I’ll do more then. Curious to see the different environments and that, even if I’m not particularly sold on the combat mechanics.

Right, Dark Souls 3 replay then

Ahhhhh, 60 FPS

Pretty much everything carries over apart from iterms that progress the game. You might as well spend your insight, but I’m fairly sure the shop stock carries over to NG+

Chalice dungeon progress should stay, and they aren’t affected by the NG+ difficulty bump like the main game is. So you can come back later on NG+ if you like.

It’s worth hoovering up any late game weapons/ tools, like the Chikage, Rakuyo, Bowblade etc. in case you fancy trying them out for NG+. You could check a guide to see there’s not any optional bosses you’ve missed.

Wet Nurse time. Streaming…

What would have happened if I’d submitted my life?

Skipped a fair bit, but damn I enjoyed that.

That different ending to my other play through gave me chills.

64 hours 11 minutes and 1 second. That beat my 187 hours and 29 seconds first play through by some distance.

It has a few iffy moments, but they are fleeting.

Simply the greatest game of all-time. Untouchable.

Made it to the Two Princes tonight. Dancer killed me a lot yesterday.

They seem totally baffling when you first fight them. Really bizarre movements. Love the grace of it though - they have their own peculiar rhythm. Next time I played through the game I accidentally ended up fighting them very early in, without any preparation, and definitely not enough estus, and somehow scraped through it first time, which is probably one of my all-time favourite DS moments.

Finished!

Err… So I turned into a slug then? Good good.

Great game, my first SoulsBorne apart from a bit of Demon Souls on PS3.

If you submit then you get the Bloodborne ending where Gehrman will rise up and kill you. This is then met with the player seemingly waking up as the sun rises over Yahrnam and the doll aparently tending over your grave back in the hunters dream. This hints that whilst it is the simple ending it is the only one where you truely escape the dream.

Nice work. You got what is believed to be the best ending (and the hardest to achieve). Your progres in the chalice dungeons is saved over from your first game (the chalice run is actually ment to be attempeted across a couple of games to get all the achievements/extra bosses you can find in the dungeons.

Gherman’s scythe is so badass, it’s a shame it’s an end-game weapon or a very specific dungeon crawl

Stuff like that made me realise that From really want you to do NG+ in their games.

Dark Souls II did but DSIII did not

And yet, for all it does well, I don’t tend to reach the end of DS2’s sprawl and thought ‘right, can’t wait to dive back in’. I do remember doing it with one character and there were some interesting tweaks.

DS3 couldn’t resist going through again with a properly set up pyromancer and rinsing everything.

DSIII kind of took away the purpose (+1, +2 rings) by putting +3 rings in the DLC

Just thinking about how hard the Artorias fight in Dark Souls would be if he had the use of both arms…
