I thought since my souls are no longer tied to a boss run I’d have a little poke around in a new area in Demon’s Souls before bed so went and had a look in the Prison of Hope in the Tower of Latria.

What the hell is happening in this place!!! It’s the stuff of nightmares! It’s Bloodborne set in Irithyll Dungeon in DS3. I am going to have to find some PS3 videos of this area because the atmosphere here is brilliant in the remake what with the sound effects, music, lighting and enemies. My first “what the hell is that! Kill it…Ahhh” moment of the game.

This area is huge! If I die it is going to take me ages to find my way back to my souls. Also I am now rocking a badass Assassin’s armour set which I love.

Dancer is down!

It’s taken me about ten days (four of them, admittedly, on a break), two attempts today, two embers, two divine blessings, two each of the fire resin and lightning resin, nineteen estus in total and eventually she went down with three estus remaining. I’ve not really enjoyed the experience of the boss that much but the cut scene afterwards with the decapitated Knight statue was pretty cool.

The weapon I used eventually was a simple longsword (+6) and a Pontiff Knight Shield.

She’s a complete headfuck - definitely one appreciated in retrospect or on other runs, where you don’t feel so frantic and can soak up the score and atmosphere a bit more! Well done though!

Want to try out DS3 again with FPS boost but feel I’ve left it to long, and in a difficult spot. I’ve got either the dude who rides a dragon to do, or the second DLC. I think I started that and left myself in a really annoying place (a toxic lake with lots of crabby things?)

How is Dark Souls 2? I have it downloaded but doesn’t seem to get as much love as the others.

it starts off really slow and shit. But if you stick with it it gets very good and the DLC is some of the best they’ve made. Don’t let the haters put you off
