With all the hype going on I remembered I barely played the first Mortal Shell so I thought I’d give it another go. Getting my arse handed to me constantly. Hate being mobbed as well - there’s no etiquette! And when you get thrown out of your shell they home in on you ridiculously quickly. I do like all the lutes you can trample though. What the hell are glimpses?! Played it a few hours now and have got nowhere really.

So nearly put Lady Maria down in one. What a fight this is. Shades of proto Malenia about the fight. Just absolute top draw stuff.

Took about a third off OoK Health Bar, still one hell of a tough Boss to figure out what it’s going to do attack pattern wise. Third play through and it doesn’t get any easier but it’s always an incredible battle. Right up there with the very best,

Completed it (for the 3rd time). OoK went down with less bother than ever before although that late stage shit he pulls had me panicking and hitting the vials in double quick time.Submitted my life which popped a new trophy. 32/40 BB Trophies. I’ve never Platinum-ed any game. This should be the one. NG+ will still trigger trophies? Chalice D’s that I had open are still open.

You have to NG+ really to get the platinum because the stuff you need to do in the Chalice Dungeon can only really be attempted in NG+.

They are, they carry over into NG+, but there is absolutely no way I am taking down that amygdala in the Chalice Dungeon on the first play through. That is one much better tackled in NG+.

Damn I really wish I could play this game again. Emulator worked for a while then it didn’t.

There’s also a weapon you get right at the end of NG that makes the some of the Chalice Dungeon bosses a lot easier. My platinum was in NG+

Running Central Yarnham in NG+ and I’ve unlocked a gate I’ve never had open before which makes the stretch to CB really accessible, staying away from CB for now and decided to add another Level which I was close to and stumbled into and triggered the FG fight by accident, dropped him 1st attempt but that had me worried for a mo! Don’t think I’ve ever straight up opened Oedon this way before.

… also, after a gaming session let the game lay dormant whilst I messed around triggering the cinematic, which I haven’t see for a good 4 years or so. 11 year old game that will never be bettered I feel, remaster or no remaster ever, you ain’t touching this all timer…
