I’ve been a fan of Bazan since I can remember, and it occurs to me there’s probably enough folks who would have an interest in doing a listen through together.

I was thinking of maybe not doing the whole back catalogue, but picking out some key records, depending on peoples’ tolerance of that idea.

Anyway, if you’re in let me know below and I will @ relevant folks when we get started. I thought maybe 7pm on a weds eve would be cool.

i genuinely think he is one of the most extraordinary songwriters on earth.

Blows my mind quite how many absolute bangers he’s written.

I probably won’t be in as my life is hard at the moment, but will keep an eye on the thread for sure. Love some BAZAN! The early emo is my favourite but he’s done remarkably well over the years. He sure knows how to write a song. Winners Never Quit is still my favourite i reckon. Phoenix was one hell of a comeback though

Winners is up there for me as an alltimer for definite. Phoenix and Havasu as a pair were far, far better than they had any right to be. Some of those tracks are the best of his career (circle K and First Drum Set knocked me out in particular)

Model Homes! Think that’s actually my favourite track of his - or Second Best.

I love the KEXP sessions he did as well.
