What an enormous loss. A filmmaker I love as an artist despite not really connecting with his art that much. Truly unique.

Oh no this is terribly sad. He was a capital G great artist and I think it’s safe to say his influence will be felt in film, television and music, everything, for a very long time

Feel really upset about this, though it’s not a huge surprise given what he’d revealed about his health recently. Stayed a true freak til the end, only leaned more into his Lynchiness which I really respect. Might do a big rewatch of all his movies / Twin Peaks.

Oh my god. This is fucking devastating. Really loved him. Could watch his hands floating around forever while he talked.

Shit. RIP. Member of the very exclusive ‘directed two completely perfect films’ club. Really need to watch twin peaks

Recently been watching a lot of his Interview Project bits on YouTube. Very straightforward little glimpses into a huge range of people’s lives. Wished he could’ve got out one last film, but Inland Empire and The Return are monument final works.

I hate when these events act as motivation, but gonna check out everything I haven;t seen of his before now. Or rewatch everything, who knows

Twin Peaks might be the best TV show ever, Mulholland Drive might be the best film ever. Can’t fucking argue with having that in your legacy

Absolutely gutted he’s gone, but so glad we had him and that he was able to share his art with us. RIP.
