The Home Office has just told me that I “have been granted indefinite leave on rainy fascist island, under Part 1 of Appendix EU to the Immigration Rules. This is also referred to as Settled Status”

I shall celebrate later today by drinking English bubbly, followed by an Indian meal. I believe this is what the natives like to do on a Saturday evening.

I have put the UK leaving the EU behind me so given the circumstances this is the best outcome. Being denied Settled Status would have caused untold problems.

sorry if I’m mis-characterising what you are saying but it seems like you think people should decide for themselves what is good or bad and I feel like once I have worked out what is good or bad it should apply to everyone, of course I’m not some infallible saint, self-criticism is super important too. Maybe we just live in incompatible universes if we see the world that differently
