Been annoyed by this film since I saw it. The characters don’t just tell the truth they say every thought in their head without filter. It’s utter shite.

I wasnt sure if I was just tired or if it was far navelgazier than it thought it was

Probably both

Thing is: I listening to the directors guild podcast and hearing him talk about his film is way more fun

But also

So Hereditary then, generally quite liked this though I thought it lost it’s way somewhat during the final act but definitely preferred Midsommar overall.

Mostly just spent the entire film worrying that something horrible was gonna happen to the dog :disappointed_relieved:

first 20 mins is absolutely bananas. drops off a lot, but it’s ridiculously fun

Yeah

This whole debate about to who sympathise with in Marriage Story is baffling, I don’t think the film really invites you to sympathise or not sympathise with anyone other than the kid. I certainly didn’t have sympathy cross my mind when I was watching it, I was mainly thinking ‘this is funny’ or ‘thank fuck I’m not getting divorced’

English language remake of Force Majeure, co-directed by the Dean from Community

Strong contender for films that don’t exist come the end of 2020 I reckon
