Deerhunter Thread (Rolling)

Okay, some good ones are:

  • 23.08.2011 - Webster Hall, NYC - Colin Mee rejoins the band for a Cryptograms section of the set.
  • 05.04.2011 - Melkweg, Amsterdam, NL - The best sounding and most representative Halcyon Digest set.
  • 12.08.2010 - Pier 54, NYC - Another HD set but well worth a listen.
  • 12.09.2009 - Flaming Lips ATP, Monticello, NY - A Microcastle victory lap. Great set.
  • 31.10.2008 - Variety Playhouse, ATL, GA - The Microcastle release party. Brilliant fun, think Whitney’s still in the band on this.
  • 01.06.2007 - Whirlyball, Roswell, GA - Absolutely pummeling Cryptograms era set.

There are so many more in this dump of files though. Really looking forward to the Monomania shows as I only ever heard a few boots at the time.

Amazing, thanks. My poor hard drive is gonna suffer!

First time listening to this since my iPod died all those years ago. The sheer RUSH of hearing it again. (Remembered I used to listen to it a lot while on MDMA so that might explain it.)

Oh I was at that Melkweg show in 2011, it was absolutely sick. Bradford chipped a tooth during Nothing Ever Happened and me and my mate had a chat to Josh before the show (RIP) and he was so nice and friendly. Definitely going to give it a nostalgic listen!

Thought this was a bump for some new album news - what a downer to hear

Was going to post in here earlier to praise Monomania but didn’t want to give anyone false hope. Now look what’s happened!

Lockett’s CV says he’s still co-owner/member of Deerhunter, so maybe they’re just on hiatus while he builds a meme generator

Feel bad now. Hope they didn’t read my comments about the last couple of albums ITT.

know there’s been rumours about this a while but choosing not to believe it until they make a statement.
