I’ll need to speak to our developer who I haven’t heard from for a year about making that change. It was a compromise when people still wanted to back up their old threads or because some article types were broken.
At the moment the plan is to move the editorial archive into Ghost over on http://drownedinsound.org but I have no idea how possible and expensive that will be to do.

Is it possible to request a certain part of the site is removed?
I’ve not looked into it but I’d imagine so!
