My reasoning here is that Livingstone gave us a bunch of ways we could’ve gotten away from it, he’s almost certainly not going to let us do it now for nothing.

Even if we’d beat the kraken, we didnt have the info we needed to get to the ship. Best case scenario - ending up stranded on a desert island.
