Yep I meant the main games.
Detective pikachu the game was very delayed in the West and a bit of a flop too I believe. Fair play to them.
Bet it does well off the back of the film though.

I love the intense bewilderment the rest of the world must be having when they see

  • there is a live action pokemon movie

  • pikachu is a fucking DETECTIVE!

I like the look of this, but wish they’d kept the game’s voice for detective Pikachu. Sounds better with that no nonsense gruff detective voice.

Probably my generation tbh. Don’t get me wrong, the games are a huge part of my childhood and I was crazy for the show, but it’s not like something that isn’t already pretty daft in its main incarnation

Looks weird and horrifying, Ryan Reynolds is always shit. I feel like it’s going for edgy points, hard pass from me.

Remember when Ash was turned to stone but all the tears of the Pokémon together brought him back to life through the power of love? Good clean fun, that’s what I’m after.
