Secret Rangers Man
He’s just the ger u want!
I’m going to choose to take this to mean they’ve changed their minds and will keep playing shows forever
New live show on Spotify from today
Screening!
Ahh, can’t make that unfortunately, shame. Watching with a few pints is probably the best way to experience it.
Blockhead!
Has anyone seen the new documentary? Went to see it on Saturday
Really good I thought. Lots of great archive footage and stuff I didn’t know about, a lot of time on their weird early days. Visually really great and fitting with their style.
Oddly it ends with their decline after Shout and their subsequent post-Devo careers but doesn’t go into any reunion stuff so it feels like ends on a bit of a down note without the triumphant return, but well worth a watch imo.
Something for Everybody is an amazing post-reformation album, without exaggeration I think it’s my third favourite of theirs.
I’ve actually never really got round to listening to it properly
When I was going to see them live and made a playlist for my wife to get to know them as she had never listened to them beyond Whip It before, she was surprised to learn that Don’t Shoot (I’m a Man) wasn’t one of their biggest songs.
Please babeh, please babeh, babeh, babeh, please babeh… woahhhhhhhhh-oh-ohhhhhhh
Comes into my head all the time
oh yeah i do know this one
Can you believe it? Devo and Garbage on the same lineup: Cruel World | Pasadena, CA
Plus New Order, OMD, Alison Moyet, Midge Ure, Clan of Xymox and others.
