If you were sending an email with just one copied piece of text would you still clear the formatting?

Yes, because I am a professional and not some rank email amateur.

seems a bit deceptive to me

Exceptionally needy more like

Just remembered epimer’s job more or less requires him to convince people he’s doing work for them directly so neediness is sort of qualified

Not any more!

Massively precious about it, and massively irked when other people aren’t precious about it.

also, we’re now getting to the crux of what professionalism is… deceptive neediness

Professionalism is at least 98% fooling people into believing that you know what you’re doing at all times. The other 2% is wearing the right kind of shoes.

who said that?

A very wise man.

here’s a thing about comic sans I read at some point: apparently a lot of dyslexic people find it much easier to read than most fonts because of something to do with the letters being more distinct from each other or something

Yeah it’s good for primary schools and dyslexic folk. And comics.

Also, if you use white text on a blue background it’s even clearer – you can set Word to display like this is you have really bad dyslexia/want to piss someone off who doesn’t know how to change it back.

Although I’m sure there was a recent study that found Arial’s even clearer than Comic Sans, and that doesn’t look like it’s for children.

It was and I do

Is there where I can mention that the other day my housemate referred to the popular font as Comic SANDS?
