That’s a real pain! What about moving it to the islington pitch? Hope it can get sorted!

Decent game. Very scrappy towards the end, which is to be expected with so many new players.

I think the second goal might have been my fault in that I let Matt jump across in front of me, but in fairness, I thought I heard a call from the keeper and the ball was in the air and at a catchable height for a long time before he got to it.

Oh well.

I have now spoken to the block booking person. She was very apologetic and admitted that she made the mistake. The other team should not have had their booking approved, as we should get priority given our long history of playing at Whittington Park.

She has promised me that our next booking (the game against Brewdog) will be honoured as agreed, and she will contact the other team to tell them their booking is off.

We will receive a full refund for our booking yesterday. Everyone who paid me will get a free game the next time they play.

Absolutely brilliant work

It might of been my fault, but really, it was definitely the 'keeper’s fault.

Masterful

I was beating myself up about it for the rest of the match until it was pointed out to me that the keeper should have claimed it, and so that’s the version I’m going with.

This was my first time with you all and my first Not5aSide for about…11 years?

Here’s some thoughts

-y’all were very welcoming, thank you
-the first 20 mins or so of the 8 a side mini match were a struggle and I was definitely doing some terrible defending which lead to at least 2 goals.

  • Ormsby is annoyingly nippy
  • was anticipating a goal fest, glad it wasn’t!

See you next time - thanks again

8-a-side is bullshit mate, dinnae worry about it.

Hate playing non-11-a-side football, literally have no clue where I’m supposed to be at any given moment during it.

^this to the welcoming-ness and being a good way to play 11-a-side again.
