Really liked it and altho its strong its really drinkable.

BUT beers are getting way over the top with pricing at present. The new Magic Rocks are stupidly expensive. I did buy one of each tho, but its the last time I pay £9 for a can of beer.

How much was it? £9 in my London local.

£6.50 but I don’t think Rehills is representative of bottle shops at all - it’s cheaper than direct from Magic Rock… Reckon about £9 is probably par in trendy bottle shops

My local is getting it on tap this weekend. Don’t wanna think how much a half/third would be

Would really like to try it on tap.
I have loads of crafty/ tap house around me in East Lnd but I never see stuff like this on, not sure why bars dont have a ‘now serving’ bit on their websites. Would be helpful.

I tried it last year at some taproom in Barcelona and remember thinking it was the best beer i’d ever tried. I thought it wouldn’t be the same out of a can but tbh it still lived up to my expectations

I paid £3 a third for Human and £3.30 a third for Unhuman in the Stormbird the other day. Was fine with it as a one-off, but yeah the cans did seem expensive - I think that’s maybe the one issue with being a beer wanker, is trying to get over the old ‘pubs are more expensive than home drinking’ thing - it seems that these days it’s sometimes cheaper in pubs!

I find Untappd is the best way to keep up with things - some places are good about updating their social media so Twitter and Insta will show what they’re pouring (BrewDog bars are very good for updating their websites), but I just use Untappd to look up a pub and see what the most recent check ins were. Given people who use Untappd tend towards the wanker end of things, you can generally hope they’ll be checking in the good stuff and you get a good picture of what’s on.

Good tip, I use untapped so this is easy for me do.

I’m disconottechno on Untapped if you want to follow!

I at least don’t mind when To øl or Mikkeller or Omnipollo or whatever Scandi brews do it because they are from expensive countries in the first place AND they’re exporting to the shitty pound + all their stuff is remarkably consistent so you pretty much know you’re getting good quality.

But yeah, do get a little annoyed sometimes when Magic Rock/Cloudwater/Brew Dog (for instance) go a bit wild on their pricing because they know they can when they’re from just down the road

that’s decent! God I miss Stormbird. Need to come down for a sesh next time I’m about (summer probably)

I love Magic Rock, especially their core range, but feel like they’re going OTT with fairly strong 6-7% IPAs lately. TBF I’ve not had one I’ve not really enjoyed and I bet end up try/like this new Psychokenisis one but I’ve lost count of the similar-ish beers they’ve brought out in the last six months.

So much this, but I guess you cant really blame breweries after seeing the ‘hype’ and prices for other limited runs.

I haven’t seen cannonball or highwire on tap anywhere in ages, which is a shame.

Not convinced any of them are actually better than Cannonball tbf

You had Amazing Haze yet? Along with Northern Monk (siren collab) Tropical Death Party and Moor Imperial Entanglement they/that’s my favourite(s) of the year so far

Just had Human Cannonball, loved it

Popped my Fallen cherry with Platform C. Nice solid hoppy IPA. Shouldn’t have judged the beer by the label

Gonna drink the normal then double to compare these.
