I’ll vote after xmas as I’ll inevitably watch a couple things then but let the record show I have been 1) very bad at watching films this year and 2) Phantom Thread will be my number 1 anyway so.

Because I was pretty down on PT haha, that’s all. Just saw Boogie Nights for the first time this year and in comparison that left me cold - though it has gone up in my estimation since I actually saw it so that’s something.

Still not watched Boogie Nights actually, it’s the only one of his I never bothered with (despite having it on DVD for years)

The only thing I know I’m going to watch before end of year is Lady Bird

Ah yeah we all have those films. Got The Wrestler for my friend about … 7 years ago? And we plan to watch it every time we meet up and yet never have. Ditto for Lost in Translation which I’m finally going to correct over Xmas. Watch Boogie! Big and sprawling and funny and sad - reminded me of Goodfellas more than anything else, in feel if not content.
