I’m a big fan of but roasts usually but they’re of varying quality usually aren’t they

:face_with_monocle:

Hehehe butts

last year I got a readymade non meat wellington thing, it was nice if really expensive and probably more unhealthy than meat.

i like the idea of making something myself so will too be keeping an eye here, I’ve never had a nut roast!

in all probability though this year’s christmas will be pizza for one, wine for six

Think I might go for this one!

Are there any nut roast type things which don’t contain nuts?
I mean, recipes. I know you can get a soya loaf type thing, like that Linda M veggie roast (although haven’t seen it in the shops for ages so not sure if they still make it)

I’d look for lentil roasts instead maybe? Haven’t tried any myself though to be able to recommend a specific one.

Almost had a bit of stinker this morning trying to make turkey seitan after reading a few recipes but not following any. Was gonna boil it but it was almost falling to bits so scooped it out and roasted it and has turned out OK.

We definitely went for the easy option!

Yeah this was for my own amusement/sandwiches rather than Xmas dinner so doesn’t matter too much.
