I really liked crimson peak but the only area of filmmaking I actually care about is production design/wallpaper and stuff

that was really the only decent bit of it

the story was quite boring and set up quite strangely. the ghosts might as well not have been in it as they made no difference. i guess it was supposed to be a gothic romance? but those elements fell completely flat.

yeah I can see that. don’t they literally say the :ghost::ghost: are just a metaphor at one point? so that’s deliberate at least. quite a boring metaphor though.

I have quite strong images in my head from it 5 years later so I’m calling it a win.

I really like it but it doesnt quite pull it off, starts off really well but once they get to England it goes a bit dreary which is weird considering how amazing a set piece that disintegrating house they built, thought the end was fairly decent so it is just a saggy middle
