i started mine ages ago just in case we did this again. not finished yet though. i tend to start off with tracks from albums i’ve bought and then have to work out which tracks to go and acquire from albums i’ve only been streaming. that’s always the hard part

I’m probably going to resurrect my emusic account to pick up a few bits I’ve been streaming and don’t own for my comp. Cancelled my subscription last Xmas and things haven’t greatly improved selection-wise but it has some new good ones - enough to justify the cost of a few months of subscription, anyway.

I’ve discovered Juno is quite a good download site if you’re not a proper audiophile - it’s cheaper depending on what audio quality you select, and as someone who is generally fine with 192kpbs I can get a lot of stuff for under a fiver. Also usually cheaper the fewer tracks are on the album.

Catalogue can be a bit limited though as they specialise in dance music rather than bedwetter indie but still a lot more on it than I’d imagine emusic has on it these days

Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll get onto it. Funnily enough the gaps which emusic can fill for me are almost exclusively betwetting indie so the sound of a malfunctioning washing machine is currently underrepresented on my mix. Hopefully juno can change that.

Glad you picked this up FC and apologies for my non participation this time around.

The computer is in the little un’s room so limited opportunity to get on it currently. As such havent got round to using any of digital downloads from the year so would have been a PITA in the arse to put owt together.

Mine arrived yesterday

A much slimmer volume than the one i sent, which is a good thing - i tend to get carried away and completely fill up the disc but i’m happy to recieve one that’s more digestible and easier to review. haven’t heard many of the tracks before but i’m intrigued. gonna bring it home for the holidays and get stuck in
