Desktops are really still the best and because of smartphones the only reason you’d have a laptop these days is because you’re a student tbh.

Same but sometimes I’m frustrated when I try and work on it, so maybe it’s a grass is always greener scenario. I also don’t have a smartphone so I was just pissing in the wind really.

Don’t think it’d get better than a mac book pro no matter how much money you chuck at it but in my experience even a proper relic imac would be superior to that really

I don’t like laptops, and I use my PC for graphics stuff a lot, so a big monitor is a plus.

Dunno man, I agree it’s more convenient for some things like being able to go places with it, but it’s less convenient for doing some bits of work (not necessarily creative things but basically anything that requires more than a little bit of information, or a lot of typing, etc). Even for watching things a lot of laptops aren’t really up to scratch and a tv on top of the price might put it near a desktop price. A good mac book can be anything up to a grand, you could get a hell of a desktop for the same price. I’ve got no such luck and have had a string of terrible £150-200 absolute tin cans.

You can just plug a laptop into a monitor and keyboard, best of both unless you need very high spec

yeah has to be desktop for me, but obviously i need it for pretty high spec video editing and audio to a lesser degree. what people pay for macs and macbooks is crazy, you can basically get an equal spec PC for a quarter of the price but most people think that PCs are old fashioned or something.
