Oh wow… that Anna Calvi album is extraordinary. Neglected to listen to it last week as I was somewhat blinkered by the release of JAAAOR. I’m going to have to change my votes too

What an incredible last couple of weeks for releases, been really hard to nail it down but I’ll go for:
1-Kathryn Joseph. I’ve had the whole month for it to sink in and it really is stunningly beautiful.
2- Idles. Thought this didn’t happen to bands anymore, they deserve all the love they’re getting at the moment.
3- Mogwai. Just lovely

Some real surprises that I’d not come across before, Our Girl & Nothing. The return of Papa M which was so fragile but drew you in once you’d listened a few times.
Still trying Interpol, but thinking it might be a lost cause.
