Very slim pickings this month, struggling to find anything noteworthy other than the latest Terry album. This will have to do:

  1. Terry - I’m Terry
  2. Claw Marks - Hee Hee
  3. Nothing - Dance On The Blacktop

Oh wow… that Anna Calvi album is extraordinary. Neglected to listen to it last week as I was somewhat blinkered by the release of JAAAOR. I’m going to have to change my votes too

  1. Anna Calvi - Hunter
  2. IDLES - Joy as an Act of Resistance
  3. Tirzah - Devotion

  3. Oh Sees - Smote Reverser

Also really enjoyed Tirzah and Interpol, amongst others. Quite a good month in the end despite not necessarily looking that way from the outset.

  1. IDLES
  2. Oh Sees
  3. Mitski

1 Tomberlin
2 Idles
3 Mitski

Also enjoying Mogwai, DCFC, Foxing and Alien Boy.

Think I’ll need to give Calvi a spin too

What an incredible last couple of weeks for releases, been really hard to nail it down but I’ll go for:
1-Kathryn Joseph. I’ve had the whole month for it to sink in and it really is stunningly beautiful.
2- Idles. Thought this didn’t happen to bands anymore, they deserve all the love they’re getting at the moment.
3- Mogwai. Just lovely

Some real surprises that I’d not come across before, Our Girl & Nothing. The return of Papa M which was so fragile but drew you in once you’d listened a few times.
Still trying Interpol, but thinking it might be a lost cause.

  1. Anna Calvi - Hunter
  2. White Denim - Performance
  3. Tirzah - Devotion

Thought I was only gonna have two this month but Calvs blasted in

I only voted for two. Can I give my last vote to Mogwai please?
