Vote for your favourite five albums. Make your selections clear please as it makes tallying up the scores easier. If you list a whole bunch of albums without making your selections clear I’ll take the first five mentioned as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. No joint positions please. Sorry to be a pedant.
Your album of the month will get five points, 2nd placed album four points, 3rd placed album three points, 4th placed album two points and 5th one point. If you name only one album I’ll give that five points. If you name two albums I’ll score them with five and four points etc. You get the message.
December’s really just for completion. Not sure if there’s been any big albums or if Jona Lewie’s had one out.
My choices:
1. Emotional Oranges - The Juice Vol.III
2. White Lung - Premonition

A quiet month for me. The Emotional Oranges album is good but not as good as their previous. The same for White Lung and a shame they’ve broken up now. Saw them a couple of times live and were great.
Always a lot of great recommendations from you guys about albums that I’ve missed or overlooked. Not sure what else is out tomorrow except so I’ll see what you guys come up with.
Please forgive any shameless bumps of this thread during the week. I’ll keep this thread open until Sunday 8th January and so you’ll have over a week to listen to tomorrow’s releases if there’s anything out before choosing.
Vote now!! (Or later in the week) but make your choices clear please.
Aukai - Apricity
Pas De Printemps Pour Marnie - Awoken Songs
Vern Matz - Reality Bites
Fabiano Nescimento - Rio Bonito
Melodium - Turku
Dag Rosenqvist - Lexika
Maja Leno - Pluto
Better month than I thought.
The Black Ox album is so good that @jordan_229 made a thread about it.
Shirley was some nice Aldous Harding sounds, and the Pet Shimmers album has some nice Happyness sounds, seeing as it does have a Happyness member in it.
I think it’s a bit more complicated than she’s “well into” right wing stuff (she’s also very vocal about women’s bodily autonomy and reproductive rights, IIRC) but yeah, discovering that she seems to have stayed pally with McInnes after being introduced to him and it becoming very obvious who he is is fucking disappointing and puts a real dampner on continuing to enjoy White Lung. Don’t suppose anyone can very conveniently provide evidence the guitarist and drummer are gooduns who’ve binned off the band because she’s a bellend? It would be appreciated!
