The Strange Ranger album is a total reinvention for them, it’s been a long time since I’ve gotten the “what the hell is this” feeling from a band I love. Cut up songs, unexpected techno and saxophone interludes, sound effects everywhere, sudden autotune, trip hop beats underscoring everything, and a new co-lead singer. It’s bizarre but the songs are there. Good for them for taking a risk like this. One of the best and most underrated bands out there.

The Lifeguard EP is pretty exciting, especially the first three songs, I’m really interested in whatever they’re going to do next. A bunch of moments that remind me of At the Drive-In or The Mars Volta.

The Will Haven and Demons albums are so good. I enjoyed the first few songs of James and The Cold Gun but got distracted at work and forgot to go back to it
