DiS Users' March 2019 Album Of The Month

  1. Luke Abbott - Music from the edge of an island
  2. Foals - everything saved…
  3. Snapped ankles - stunning luxury
  4. These new puritans - inside the rose

I haven’t got through quite as much this month as the last couple but still a couple of gems.

  1. Self Esteem - Compliments Please
  2. The Japanese House - Good at Falling
  3. Sasami - S/T
  4. The Comet is Coming - Trust…

Self Esteem was the real revelation for me this month and my number 1 by some distance. One of the most immediately enjoyable albums I’ve listened to in a while.

Based on stuff I’ve seen you post about I reckon you may like the records from Westkust and Nanami Ozone this month

3 - Solange - When I get Home
4- Lambchop - This (is what I wanted to tell you)
5- Lafawndah - Ancestor Boy

  3. Kyle Bobby Dunn - From Here to Eternity (the digital release came out a week or so ago but the physical release isn’t until May, so not sure if it counts…)

  2. Ela Orleans - Movies For Ears
  3. SASAMI - SASAMI
  4. Solange - When I Get Home
  5. Nilüfer Yanya - Miss Universe

None of which I knew about at the start of March! Conversely, I was very much looking forward to Hand Habits, and I struggle to get through that album.

Helado Negro is particularly excellent and now the firm AOTY frontrunner for me. Really enjoying discovering his back catalogue, too.

I’ve also enjoyed new Malkmus, Howe Gelb, Lena Raine and even Weezer, so it was a good month.
