Yeah, really enjoying this one. Here’s the Bandcamp to generate more listens from people

Not a patch on last month. Like but wouldn’t say love these:

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Dissociation
Male Bonding - Headache
American Football - American Football

Enjoying Planes Mistaken For Stars, Balance & Composure and Whores. also but only been listening since they’ve been mentioned up thread or in other recent threads.

  1. Joyce Manor - Cody
  2. Kate Tempest - Let Them Eat Chaos
  3. Leonard Cohen - You Want It Darker

Goat - REQUIEMMMMMMMMM.

newDiS does that sometimes, if you write a numbered list it will start applying formatting to it and then will think a gap means it’s a new list or something. from messing about with i think now it might be the dividing line doing it.

seems to only format it when it’s written as 1. so 1) or something will work instead

Given this a couple of listens but haven’t managed to get to the end yet. It’s a bit of a stoner hip shaker. If I had a spliff it’d probably make more sense.

What the fuck there’s new Katie Gately AND Benoit Pioulard I love DiS sometimes

Fairly okay month I thought. I’m starting to strongly think this year was much better in the first half.

  1. Joe Clark - Throw Me In The Susquehanna
    https://glowingwindowrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/throw-me-in-the-susquehanna

  2. Dead Light - Dead Light (I think this is what @static referred to, either way I checked them out from that recommendation on here, thanks static!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtZNC_0fYWo

  3. 36 - The Infinity Room
    https://astrangelyisolatedplace.bandcamp.com/album/the-infinity-room

Special mention to Fvnerals - Wounds and Black Marble - Immaterial, both of which vied strongly for third place.

1 - Joyce Manor - Cody
2 - Swet Shop Boys - Cashmere
3 - Nicolas Jaar - Sirens

Another fantastic month I thought. Great to see Feeder return to form with their most interesting album since Comfort of Sound. I’ve never listened to Pretty reckless before so will have to check out their previous albums - good straight forward female fronted rock and roll. Toy I thought was fantasticin an indie shoegazy kind of way.

1 - Feeder - All Bright Electric
2 - The Pretty Reckless - Who You Selling For
3 - Toy - Clear Shot

Other good stuff from this month:

Joyce Manor - Cody
Kate Tempest - Let Them Eat Chaos
Placebo - A Place For Us To Dream
Jimmy Eat World - Integrity Blues
Korn - The Serenity Of Suffering
Helmet - Dead To The World

Still catching up from September.
Have only heard the new Leonard Cohen - very good it is too.

indeed what i meant, my bad (Anna Rose Carter/ Moon ate the Dark etc), and my pleasure.

I’ve not actually listened to the Electric Six album, but I’m going to assume it’s worthy of my vote…

  1. Carla del Forno - You know what it’s like
  2. C. Diab - No perfect wave
  3. Drömloch - Late Style
  1. Dead Light - Dead Light (Anna’s piano playing is sublime)
  2. Before The Flood soundtrack by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Mogwai, and Gustavo Santaolalla (super lush but the intensity makes it feel like “heavy ambient” at times)

Not sure what else to pick. Liked but didnt adore a few records like Angel Olsen, Julia Jacklin and need to go back to Radio Dept I adore the band but didnt click with it on first listen

  1. Mono - Requiem To Hell
  2. Christian Loffler - Mare
  3. Roman Flugel - All The Right Noises

A deserved nod of the head for the Radio Dept album, too. Not a first class month, but certainly competitive

I’ll do the count sometime today. Not sure when. I’m currently at work and I have inherited a whole load of cock ups as I work with weapons grade morons.

Jimmy Eat World
Kevin Devine

I’m not really sure though, there were a number of other albums I need to give more of a chance to.
