Great month. Really hard to order them. I’ve bought all of my top 10, other than two of them which aren’t on bandcamp so I’ll have a look elsewhere.

Also really liked Emily Brown, Glass Vaults, Kurt Vile, Mow, Stella Sommer, Jose Luis Andervel, The Last Dinosaur, Loma, Darlingside, Annie, and a few others as well.

and bonus mention to The Divine Comedy remastered reissues of all of their albums and the new b-sides, plus the new mix of Promenade.

Tricot’s 10 is possibly my favourite straight-up guitar rock album since Twin Fantasy (though they’re very different). Really want to know which Black Mirror episode ruined Open Mike Eagle’s marriage. Gorillaz is a banger-filled return to form and Clipping sounds like it could be the future. The 9-track version of Eartheater that I made would be number 1 for the month and a serious AOTY contender. Couldn’t rate the whole thing higher than 5th though.

Slow start but ended up being a great month. From my list the artist that most probably haven’t heard before is my number 2 pick, Ghostemane. Difficult to describe, but imagine Jonathan Davies, Marilyn Manson and Hydo Da Hero growling and rapping over some NIN industrial beats. Good stuff.
