  3. Ekin Fil & Aidan Baker - The Dark Well (mini LP)
  4. Caterina Barbieri - Early Works
  5. V/A - A little Night Music: Aural apparitions from the Geographic North

Haven’t heard the Harry Smith B sides compilation yet.
Also a cojuple of E.Ps this month I loved by Clarice Jensen and Lisa Lerkenfeldt.

Yes was out a week or two ago. It’s Spectres goes pop! Definitely worth checking out.

Could have included Touche Amore, Eels, This Is The Kit, Juanita Stein and Fuzz. What a month!

oh I forgot about Jay Electronica which isn’t on Tidal for some reason.

1 Future Islands - As Long As You Are
2 This Is The Kit - Off Off On
3 Roisin Murphy - Roisin Machine
4 Oneohtrix Point Never - Magic
5 Autechre - Sign

A strong month for me.
Working Men’s Club, Zencker Brothers, Actress and the other Autechre album would appear in other months.
Future Islands has really surprised me. I just keep going back to it and right now I think it’s as strong as Singles.

Masses out this month so it has been hard to keep up and I don’t feel many albums have had the listening time they deserve.

  1. Loma - Don’t Shy Away
  2. Adrianne Lenker - Songs/Instrumentals
  3. Future Islands - As Long As You Are
  4. Matt Berninger - Serpentine Prison
  5. Mary Lattimore - Silver Ladders
  1. METZ - Atlas Vending
  2. Adrianne Lenker - songs
  3. Matt Berninger - Serpentine Prison
  4. Nothing - The Great Dismal

I can’t stop listening to METZ, they’ve really outdone themselves. One of the few best albums of the year. As pissed off and pummeling as ever, but also with moments where they play the long game:

Surprised there are not lots of votes for Oneohtrix Point Never - I’ve only just got my copy and started listening to it but it’s lovely.

Agree :+1:

Lots of positive chat in this thread if people haven’t checked it out yet:

Perhaps more straightforwardly enjoyable than anything they’ve done before.

Yep, equally surprised by what a return to form the new Future Island is. Looking like it’s scored well on this thread too…(although of course will wait for all the votes to be counted before declaring anything further)

I’ve already declared a win

  2. Mary Lattimore - Silver Ladders
  3. USA Nails - Character Stop
  4. Open Mike Eagle - Anime, Trauma and Divorce
  5. Metz - Atlas Vending

Another stunning release from Mary Lattimore which led the way for most of the month before OPN stole the show which one of their most accessible to date. A much rawer effort from Open Mike but still full of his trademark wit. Then for me the strongest albums yet from both Metz and USA Nails. Great month.

An unlucky 6th / 7th for Oliver Coates & Theo Parrish which are great.

Roisin & Adrianne in the hunt for AOTY.

Amazed about the lack of love for Bartess Strange. Thought that would be a surefire hit around here. It’s brilliant.
