Not at all. You’re a genuinely nice person who inproves this forum. You support Manchester United, but we all have our flaws.

Superb fishing.

And no, your posts make me happy. Even if – as ynot says – you are the scum of the earth*.

I’m terrible at this. Some people on here are amazing and recognising people posting under a new name. Not me.

Thanks, mate. You’re the best. I hope your future self-service experiences are bipp free.

How bored are people on here?

I was thinking of making a quick quiz on here: I’ll take 10 posts from a thread, anonymise them, and you have to guess who is who.

Anyone up for that?

Very much so, of late. Not entirely sure why, but I have a few thoughts as to why it might be, and I’d be obliged if they could be given some consideration.

Generally, I’m not posting as frequently as I once did, so perhaps I’m compensating on the word count by extending each post. Desperately trying, in vain, to imprint my presence.

@creakynees isn’t around any more… and I’m not as young as I once was (who is?!)… and with @saps and @NoahVale being far too… chipper… and them having a… restrained brevity that I’ve never truly mastered… I feel like there’s a gap in the market for a well-meaning… but slightly curmudgeonly… father of the forum (house of commons styleee)…

NewDiS doesn’t lose your posts like the old place did, so you can post with confidence, knowing that every highly important thought will be documented for posterity.

Also, on NewDiS, it prompts you back into threads you’ve read which have new posts in them so they can end up rolling along nicely over time, with perfectly-timed barbs being less of a thing.

That’s about all I can think of at the moment, but it’s an honour to have even been mentioned, @eems - this has been all the encouragement I needed to push on to bigger and better things in 2018.
